This talk explores some of the ways that design both reproduces and is reproduced by the matrix of domination, and describes Design Justice as a growing social movement that focuses on the fair distribution of design’s benefits and burdens; fair and meaningful participation in design decisions; and recognition of community based design traditions, knowledge, and practices.
