MIT Reads: Community Discussion with the Authors of "Sexual Citizens"

Sexual Citizens: Sex, Power, and Assault on Campus provides an innovative, compassionate, and surprisingly optimistic analysis of why campus sexual assaults happen and – critically – what can be done to prevent them.   Join us for a candid discussion with authors Jennifer S. Hirsch and Shamus Khan, conducted by MIT student moderators.

The in-person event is open to current MIT students only.  Non students can attend the virtual event. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.  Please note that IDs will be checked, and that all participants will be required to wear a face mask.

The virtual event is open to all. Pre-registration is required; url will be emailed shortly before the event.

Your participation is important to us so please email mitreads-events@mit.edu by September 27 if you require special accommodations in order to attend.

This event is co-sponsored by MindHandHeartWomen’s and Gender StudiesInstitute Discrimination and Harassment ResponseViolence Prevention and ResponsePLEASURE@MIT, the UA Committee on Student Support & Wellness , the Graduate Student CouncilDepartment of Athletics, Physical Education, and Recreation, the FSILG Office, and the MIT Libraries.
